Reconstruction of the outpatient Clinic in Gornja Trnava

Location: Gornja Trnava, Topola municipality, Serbia
Project Cost: $19,259.57
Year:2025

In January 2025, a complete reconstruction of the outpatient clinic in Gornja Trnava was successfully completed, restoring essential healthcare infrastructure for this rural community in the Topola municipality of central Serbia.

Gornja Trnava is a small village serving a local population of approximately 700 residents, many of whom are elderly and have limited access to transportation. Prior to this project, the clinic was in extremely poor condition—dilapidated, unsafe, and no longer suitable for providing basic medical care. Patients and staff faced leaking ceilings, inadequate heating, and unsanitary facilities, forcing residents to travel long distances for even the most basic health services.

Thanks to this donation, the clinic was fully renovated from floor to walls and roof. The reconstruction included:

  • Complete structural and interior refurbishment
  • Installation of a new bathroom meeting sanitary standards
  • Installation of a new heating system
  • Repairs and upgrades ensuring a safe, dry, and functional medical space

Today, the outpatient clinic in Gornja Trnava is once again operational, clean, warm, and dignified—providing reliable primary care close to home. Patients no longer need to travel to nearby towns for routine medical visits, and healthcare staff can work in safe and humane conditions.

This project represents more than a physical renovation; it restores access to care, preserves dignity for patients, and strengthens the sustainability of rural healthcare for one of Serbia’s underserved communities.
